«Stimmung» – SoloVoices & Christian Zehnder
Karlheinz Stockhausen composed «Stimmung» during the year of 1968 in Long Island (USA), during snowy weather with frozen seas and a strong wind. It is an oeuvre of mystical character: Six voices sing an unchanging chord, create overtones and occasionally speak words. There are no lyrics, but open phonemes and magical names as well as fragments of erotic poetry. «Stimmung» radiates a feeling of peace, thanks to its origins close to the sea and during the time of flower power. For this project, SoloVoices is collaborating with soprano vocalist Anne-May Krüger, as well as Christian Zehnder, singer and specialist for overtone vocals. more...
